This music video came to life from a "Shot on iPhone" project. All footage in this video was taken on my iPhone 14 wtih the assistance of a DJI Osmo gimbal.
My version of the brainstorming process for this video meant getting how I envisioned it in my head onto paper. If you look at the first image, the addition of the timestamps helped me pace what was happening in the scene and what the camera movement needed to look like. After I got a rough idea of what would happen from start to finish, I storyboarded the scenes to give the concepts a visual aid. This was then shown to the two actors (my lovely friends), to help them understand the plot and direction of the video.
While we were lucky to be filming this in the Fall with sunlight still on our side, it was definitely a learning experience trying to get visually appealing sunset shots while also not having enough light for high-quality footage. This setback extended the shooting process into 3 days. However, getting to spend time with my friends as we basically made an ultra-short film was more than fine by me.
