Process Breakdown
When I first saw Murilo Emerick's original playground piece, the looping effect paired with the sound design left me entertained for hours on end. I wanted to take on a similar project since the concept was simple yet, as he stated in his post, good practice for keyframe animation.

I started off my ideation process by listing common playground equipment, but specifically noted machinery that would look good in a minimalistic style. As you can see in the sketch compared to the final outcome above, I didn't end up doing the monkey bar idea (#6 on the page) or the climbing net (#3). I felt like those ideas started to be too similar to Emerick's piece; so, I changed up my design mid-animation process. However, even though Emerick's piece had a slide, I decided to incorporate one into my piece as well since they're a staple in any playground.
I suppose I didn't hang on to that monkey bar idea for too long...
